J: "What's her name?"
Eisen: "Adelene, but I call her 'Adel'. There's three other people I know called 'Adeline'. Spelled in different ways, but all sounds the name."
J: "Is she dark?"
Eisen: "Yes."
J: "Does she wear dark eyeliner?"
Eisen: "How the hell did you know?"
J: "Girls with dark personalities usually wear dark eyeliner."

Eisen: "So, you're still in cell group?"
J: "Yes, very much so."
Eisen: "My friend, who's now migrated to Canada, sent me a 24-page document detailing why he left Christianity."
J: "Really."
Eisen: "Unfortunately, I don't have the patience or the energy to do the same."
J: "Why not?"
Eisen: "Why go to all the trouble? Anyone who has the intelligence and the time to sit down and carefully figure things out will realize Christianity is full of contradictions and inherent problems that can't be solved."
J: [pause] "Well..."
III
Eisen: "How have you been?"
J: [notable pause] "Fine..." [pause] "I'm still doing the same things..." [pause] "... with the same people..."
Eisen: "Willingly, or for want of alternatives?"
J: [smile] "I need my sources of comfort."
